KARACHI: The trend of gold being expensive in the local market continued on Friday as gold prices rose sharply on the last day of the business week.
According to market sources, the price of gold in the international bullion market remained at the level of 1,959 dollars per ounce yesterday, however, on the contrary, a large increase in the price of gold was recorded in the local market.
The price of gold rose by Rs 6,500 per tola in the local market on Friday, bringing the new gold price to Rs 2,14,500.
Meanwhile, the price of gold per 10 grams also recorded an increase of 5 thousand 574 rupees and the new price became 1 lakh 83 thousand 900 rupees.
It should be remembered that the price of gold had increased by 4 thousand rupees per tola yesterday and in 2 consecutive days the price of gold has increased by more than 10 thousand rupees per tola.
