In view of the possible danger of the new virus Nipah after Corona, an alert has also been issued in the province of Sindh. The Sindh Health Department issued an advisory and issued written letters to the director of all hospitals and MS.

However, timely treatment can prevent the virus. The virus is transmitted from animals to humans and from humans to humans.

There is a danger of the spread of the dangerous virus ‘Nipah’ in Pakistan also in Pakistan. On which the Sindh Health Department has issued an advisory to the heads of government hospitals. According to the advisory received by the Ummah, in view of the possible danger of the Nipah virus, Director General Health Sindh has instructed the MS, Directors and Livestock Department of hospitals across the province to be alert.

According to the advisory, Nipah virus spreads rapidly from animals to humans and from humans to humans. The early symptoms of the virus include fever, headache, body aches, coma and other symptoms. However, no cases of Panah virus have been reported across Sindh including Pakistan at that time

When Ummat conducted an investigation regarding the Nipah virus, it was found that the Nipah virus was first discovered in Malaysia. which is transmitted from animals to humans. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a public health watchdog in the United States, Nipah virus was first discovered in 1999 after outbreaks of the disease in pigs and humans in Malaysia and Singapore. The disease resulted in approximately 300 reported cases and over 100 deaths. After that, cases of this virus were reported in India and in 2004 in some parts of Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, the virus spread from person to person. Nipah is a zoonotic virus. That is, it initially spreads from animals to humans. According to research, Nipah virus can be transmitted to humans through direct contact with infected animals such as bats or pigs or their bodily fluids. Close contact with an infected person or their bodily fluids can also infect the virus. Currently Nipah virus is spreading in India for the fourth time. Due to which 2 deaths have occurred. While 20 people are affected. Nipah has also been confirmed in 2 out of 20 people. The mortality rate among people infected with Nipah virus is 74%.

Regarding Nipah virus, General Physician of Jinnah Hospital Dr. Umar Sultan said that “Nipah” is a dangerous virus easily transmitted from animals to humans. While it can also be transmitted from one person to another. Symptoms of this virus include high fever, headache, inflammation in the head, sore throat, cough, difficulty breathing, body aches, fatigue and restlessness.

He said that research shows that Nipah virus can be commonly transmitted in pigs, bats, dogs, horses and other similar domestic animals. From where it is transmitted to humans. According to medical experts, 75% of the people suffering from the said virus are likely to die. However, good results can be obtained if the disease is diagnosed promptly.

There is currently no treatment or medicine available for the virus. However, health experts try hard to treat the patient according to the symptoms. It is believed that this virus is considered dangerous to human life because it is diagnosed very late and the infected person sometimes shows symptoms after a month and by then it is too late.
