According to “Geo News”, the Meteorological Department has predicted that western winds will enter the upper regions of the country from this evening or night. From this evening to July 16, rain with thunder is expected in Barkhan, Loralai and Kalat. Rain is expected in Khuzdar, Zhob, Lasbela, Awaran, Musa Khel, DG Khan, Rajanpur. Rain with strong winds is expected in Multan, Bhakkar, Leh, Kot Addu, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Nagarparkar and Tharparkar. Umarkot, Sanghar and Mirpur Khas are also likely to experience wind and thundershowers.

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has predicted the effect of a new monsoon system in Sindh from next week.

According to the Meteorological Department, a new series of monsoon rains may affect Sindh between July 20 and 22. There is a possibility of rains in other districts of Sindh including Karachi, a new series of rains will enter Pakistan from the Bay of Bengal. The intensity of rains in Karachi will be assessed as the system approaches. After the forecast of rains by the Meteorological Department, PDMA has instructed the district administration to take precautionary measures in view of rains and strong winds.
